Women's Soccer Adds Six More; Round Out at a Baker's Dozen for 2012

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Pfeiffer University women’s soccer program has added six more newcomers to the 2012 roster rounding out the Class of 2016 at a baker’s dozen for the upcoming fall season. Sadie Lovelace, Kori Holland, Casey Seagroves, Janelle Floyd, Aaliyah Jackson and Amanda Ross will all call Pfeiffer home starting in August. Read more

Pfeiffer Athletics Year in Review: Titles, Tragedy and Triumphs Sum Up 2011-2012

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Seven months ago, Pfeiffer University athletics began the incredible season-long journey of 356 sporting events, 155 at home, in just 242 days that came to a close on April 29th.  The year was filled with plenty of emotion covering the highs of a Conference Carolinas tournament and regular season title down to the lowest of lows with a rare, unwanted case of unfortunate tragedy. Sheen's Hat Trick, Kirk's Defense in Net Send #12 Men's Lacrosse to Season-Ending 7-6 Win over Lindenwood

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Cole Sheen (Edmonton, ALBERTA) led the way with a game-high three goals as 12th-ranked Pfeiffer University escaped Lindenwood University with a 7-6 season-ending victory on Sunday afternoon. The Falcons end 2012 12-6 overall while the Lions complete their season at 8-7. Read more

Despite a Pair of Two-Run Blasts by Price, Top-Seed Mount Olive Rallies in 10th for 5-4 Victory to End Baseball's Season

WILSON, N.C. - Junior Mike Mercurio tagged a single up the middle of the infield that sent home classmate Mike Dunlavey for the walk-off run as No. 1 seed Mount Olive College eliminated No. 3 seed Pfeiffer University 5-4 in 10 innings on day two of the 2012 Conference Carolinas Baseball Tournament hosted by Barton College and the Wilson Tobs Friday afternoon. Tuttle, Harris and Bolton Represent Baseball on All-Conference Teams

HIGH POINT, N.C. -  The Conference Carolinas All-Conference baseball teams were determined by vote from each head coach of participating league institutions. Pfeiffer University starting pitcher Bryan Tuttle landed on the first team while Justin Harris and Craig Bolton are represented on the second team. Nominations are collected and then voted upon by ballot and tallied to determine Players of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-Conference First Team, and All-Conference Second Team. Pair of Big Frames Sends King to 9-4 Win over Baseball; Falcons Put Season on the Line Friday vs. Erskine/Mount Olive Winner

WILSON, N.C. - Sophomore Corey Rhodes tossed a complete game and No. 4 King College blasted a pair of three-run homers to knock off No. 3 seed Pfeiffer University, 9-4, in the opening game of the 2012 Conference Carolinas Baseball Tournament hosted by Barton College and the Wilson Tobs at historic Fleming Stadium Thursday. The Tornado (28-17) will wait to play the winner of the No. 2 Belmont Abbey/No. 5 North Greenville game on Friday at 7 p.m. The Falcons (25-24) will look to avoid elimination when they play the winner of the No. 1 Mount Olive/No. 6 Erskine game on Friday at 3 p.m. Read more
