Fogleman receives regional and national honors

Misenheimer, NC -- Sixty-three players from 43 different institutions earned All-America honors on the 2009 Daktronics, Inc., All-America Baseball Team.  Pfeiffer starting pitcher Nick Fogleman was named to the All-America honorable mention team.  Fogleman was also recently named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Southeast All-Region first team.

Fogleman, a junior from Waxhaw, NC, appeared in 15 games for the Pfeiffer Falcons this season and started in 11.  In 2009, he was named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference first team and was selected as the league’s Pitcher of the Year.  Fogleman posted a record of 9-2 and led the conference with 83 strike outs. He pitched 82.2 innings, giving up 58 hits and only 20 earned runs.  Fogleman marked an ERA of 2.18 and had an overall batting average against of .183.
