Falcons fall to Trojans

Misenheimer, NC – The Pfeiffer University men’s and women’s tennis teams fell to the Trojans of Anderson University on Tuesday.  The women lost 3-6, while the men dropped their match 0-9.  Both Falcon teams are now 7-9 overall on the season.

Patty Dominguez (Caracas, Venezuela) and Brittany Dickens (Wake Forest, NC) took the second doubles match 8-0.  Dominguez added another victory in the first singles match 6-1, 6-1.  Maddy Billeter (Boca Raton, FL) came up with the Falcon women’s final win 1-6, 7-6, 10-0.

The men were swept by the Trojans, but Sid Saushik (Chennai, India) lost in the number two position 6-3, 7-6 and Johan deWit (Windhoek, Namibia) also put up a fight in the number three position, but lost 7-5, 6-3.
