Women's Volleyball Earns Split in Final Day of Limestone Crossover

GAFFNEY, S.C. – Brittany Dickens and Jordan O’Bryant helped the Lady Falcons women’s volleyball team split a pair of matches on the final day of the Limestone Crossover. Pfeiffer fell early in the morning to Lander 3-0 (15-25, 15-25, 23-25) before bouncing back to sweep North Greenville 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-19) in the afternoon. Dickens registered 18 kills on the day while O’Bryant tallied 16 pacing Pfeiffer offensively. The Lady Falcons now stand at 3-4 on the year.
In the first match against Lander, Pfeiffer struggled again in the hitting department finishing at just 12% for the match, needing a 21% attack percentage in set three to help out the overall total. Dickens led the way in match one with nine kills while O’Bryant threw down a half-dozen. Colleen Wands had 14 of the 27 team assists against Lander.
In the afternoon session against North Greenville, Pfeiffer saw their match hitting percentage end at 22% with totals of 25% and 35% in the final pair of sets. O’Bryant reached double figures in match two with 10 kills. Dickens had nine kills and along with Kristina Mordini to provide the points. Wands finished match two with 17 helpers while Vanessa Gerig chipped in with 14.
The Lady Falcons get back to action on Thursday night in a non-conference match against Catawba. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. with live stats being available through www.gofalconsports.com.
