September 16, 2009
BADIN, N.C. – After reviewing the United States Golf Association (USGA) rule 33-2B/1, it has been determined that the final round of the 2009 Lady Falcon/McNairy Invitational will be counted. Three sets of tees on holes #5, #8 and #11 were moved after the final round had begun and since the final round scores did not provide a distinct and significant advantage or disadvantage, the round can be counted. Carson-Newman, trailing by five entering Tuesday’s play, put up a second-day score of 307 at the Old North State Club at Uwharrie Point to finish on top.
