McQuade's Early Tally Leads Women's Soccer to 3-1 Win at Chowan

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Pfeiffer University used a goal from Lindsay McQuade just two minutes into play en route to a 3-1 road win over Chowan in women’s soccer action on Wednesday afternoon at the Hawks Sports Complex. Pfeiffer improves their overall record to 4-3-3 while the Hawks fall to 4-9.
McQuade didn’t waste any time putting her Lady Falcons on the board with her first tally of the season just 1:48 into the match. Ashleigh Rhoads would pick up her first of two assists on the day with McQuade’s early goal. Rhoads would assist on Pfeiffer’s second score coming in the 53rd minute as Kirsten Bartsch found the far post for her second goal of the year.
Chowan got on the board in the 66th minute on an unassisted goal by Erin Jackson. Jackson found the right post off of a free kick. The Lady Falcons would end scoring in the 87th minute as Ashley Hawkins found the top of the goal after a pass from teammate Sam Brown.
The Lady Falcons head back out on the road Saturday getting back into Conference Carolinas play. Pfeiffer will travel to Due West, South Carolina to take on Erskine in a league match at 2:00 p.m.
