Pair of Men's Soccer Players Represent Pfeiffer on All-Southeast Region Teams

GREENEVILLE, T.N. – The 2009 Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Men’s Soccer Teams were released Tuesday afternoon, which include a pair of Falcons from Pfeiffer University. Senior Kash Knight (Gibsonville, NC) found a spot on the all-region first-team while fellow senior Renato Barbosa (Charlotte, NC) landed on the second-team.
Knight wrapped up his final season with the Falcons playing over 1,100 minutes scoring 14 goals and five assists totaling a team-high 33 points. Knight tallied a pair of game-winning goals this season with a .649 shots on goal percentage. Barbosa, starting in 17 of Pfeiffer’s 18 matches this season, registered over 1,250 minutes with six goals and seven assists. Barbosa tossed in a game-winner midway through the year at Newberry.
The Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Teams are voted on by the sports information directors of the Southeast Region; voting is powered by ATHLETICSITE.COM. The region is comprised of the Conference Carolinas, the Peach Belt Conference, the South Atlantic Conference, and North Greenville University.
Members of the first team are now eligible for Daktronics NCAA Division II All-America honors.
