Mesler's Two Hat Tricks Earn Player of the Week Honors for Men's Lacrosse

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Pfeiffer University’s Dan Mesler (3-5 overall, 0-2 conf.) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse Player of the Week during week number four in the 2010 season. Mesler, out of Branchport, NY, helped the Falcons to a pair of wins over spring break scoring six goals with three assists.

Mesler started with the first hat trick and a groundball in an 11-7 win over Wheeling Jesuit. On Saturday against American International, Mesler again added three goals, chipping in with three assists, for his second consecutive hat trick. All six Mesler strikes provided breathing room for the Falcons in close contests this week.

Mesler and the Falcons return to the field on Saturday, hosting Wingate at 1:00 p.m.
