Men's Tennis Goes 1-1 on Saturday; See Sunday Cut Short Due to Rain

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer University went 1-1 over the weekend in men’s tennis action, stopping the final match on Sunday due to rain. The Falcons dropped a 6-1 decision at division one Gardner-Webb before knocking off North Greenville 5-3. Pfeiffer was in a 3-3 deadlock with Lincoln Memorial on Sunday afternoon with rain forced the cancellation of the match. The Falcons stand 5-3 heading into Monday’s conference tilt with Mount Olive.

Michael Worthington scored the lone point for the Falcons at Gardner-Webb with a 6-0, 6-3 win at number six singles. Pfeiffer took wins at one and three doubles against North Greenville before splitting singles action 3-3. Full box scores from both matches are below.
