Men's Lacrosse Bounces Back with 14-7 Win at Lake Erie; Prepares for Final Week of CC Play

PERRY, O.H. – Pfeiffer University put home at-least three goals in each period of play defeated Lake Erie College 14-7 in non-conference men’s lacrosse action on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Stadium. Pfeiffer gets back above .500 at 8-7 on the year while the Storm fall to 3-5.
Trailing 2-1 after a Nick Berkompas score to start the contest, Jameson Schultz sandwiched a goal in between two tallies by Chad Olsen for a 4-2 turnaround. Olsen hit again with just three seconds left in the first quarter for a 5-3 lead through one.
Both teams put three on the board in the second going back and forth as Dan Mesler, Ben Nielsen and Kory Lutes registered the first, third and fifth goals of the period leading 8-6 at the half.
Pfeiffer went on to gain a larger advantage scoring three more in the third while holding the Storm scoreless. Schultz, Berkompas and Nielsen all hit again for an 11-6 lead while after an Andrew Donatelli strike for Lake Erie, Nielsen, Olsen along with Andrew Vanbruggen finished off the Storm for a 14-7 victory.
The Falcons dominated face-offs winning 21 of 24 led by Jonathan Langvin’s 16 wins. Pfeiffer gets back to action this Tuesday and Saturday wrapping up Conference Carolinas play at Limestone and at Queens.
