Men's Golf Loses Late Ground to Finish 8th at Conference Tournament

CLEMMONS, N.C. – The Pfeiffer University men’s golf team finished eighth at the 2010 Conference Carolinas men’s golf tournament that wrapped up on Tuesday afternoon at the Tanglewood Country Club. The Falcons shot a three-round total of 925 on the par-70, 6,826 layout. Belmont Abbey won the event with a total of 885, led by medalist Joe Campbell who shot a one over 211 (73-68-70).
Pfeiffer entered the final round in fifth place, before dropping to eighth after a final round 314. The Falcons shot 307 on Sunday and improved to 304 in Monday’s second round. Laurence Noott and Parker Robertson each finished T-20 with three-day totals of 230. Noott shot 77-75-78 while Robertson carded 72-80-78.
Cameron Fields and Jonathan Miles each turned in 236’s concluding T-36 while Tyson Louth finished 43rd three shots behind Fields and Miles. Fields went 80-74-82 while Miles recorded 78-75-83. Louth went 80-83 before wrapping up with a tournament best 76.
