Flesher to Lead Men and Women's Golf Programs in 2010-2011

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer University athletic director Bobby Stewart is proud to announce the hiring of Greg Flesher, a certified PGA instructor, as the new head coach for men’s and women’s golf. Flesher most recently spent the last 11 years as the Head Golf Professional at Owensboro Country Club in Owensboro, Ky. 

Last season, Flesher was a volunteer assistant coach for the NCAA Division III National Championship women’s team at Methodist University in Fayetteville. “Greg brings a wealth of golf experience from over 30 years involvement with every aspect of the sport.  We’re excited to have a person of his outstanding caliber to join the Pfeiffer University staff” says Mary Ann Sunbury, Associate Director of Athletics.
Coach Flesher is a member of the PGA Quarter-Century Club and was the Central Illinois PGA Professional of the Year.  He has competed in numerous Kentucky and Illinois PGA events as well as competing on the NGA Mini-Tours. Flesher played collegiate golf at Georgetown College in Kentucky where he earned a degree in Business Administration.  His wife, Vici, is the new women’s golf coach at High Point University. They will be living in Thomasville, NC.
