Mullis Scores Individual Win as Women's Cross Country Finishes Third at Hagan Stone Classic

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Pfeiffer junior Kaitlyn Mullis was the first individual runner to cross the line taking first place in the 2010 Hagan Stone Classic. Mullis setting a career-best time completing the 5k course in 20:24 as the Lady Falcons finished third overall.

Behind Mullis, Rachel Biggerstaff finished with a top-five performance in fifth with a 22:06 while Carrie Early concluded in 16th in 23:15. Yasmin Ingram and April Hinson finished 18th and 19th 25 seconds apart with times of 23:15 and 23:40 while Nina Ubabuike (26th/26:09) and Ashley Stutts (29th/27:42) rounded out the Lady Falcons morning run.

“Kaitlyn is having an incredible year,” replied head coach Scott Nolt. “No one sets higher expectations for themselves than Kaitlyn. She has the determination and work ethic to meet them.”\

Pfeiffer will now head to McAlpine Park in Charlotte on October 15 for the first of three races at that venue. As the host for the Conference Carolinas meet and NCAA II Regional, McAlpine Park will host the Royals Cross Country Challenge in two weeks.
