Women's Cross Country Finishes Season with 28th Place Finish at Southeast Regional

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Pfeiffer University women’s cross country team finished the 2010 season with a 28th place finish at the NCAA II Southeast Region meet on Saturday morning at McAlpine Park. Queens won the team title while Lenoir-Rhyne’s Kate Griewisch won her second-consecutive regional meet.

Pfeiffer was led by Kaitlyn Mullis and her 63rd place finish in the 6,000 meter run. Mullis crossed the line with a time of 24:49. The Lady Falcons second runner to conclude was Carrie Early in 149th place with a final time of 27:42.

Yasmin Ingram followed Early just 17 seconds later while April Hinson wrapped up her day with a time of 29:24. Rachel Biggerstaff finished just over the half hour mark at 30:31. Nina Ubabuike concluded with a 30:56 while Ashley Stutts rounded out team scoring with a time of 31:53.
