Women's Volleyball Raises over $900 in "Dig Pink" Match for Breast Cancer Research

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Back on Friday, October 29th, the Pfeiffer University women’s volleyball team held its annual “Dig Pink” match for the Side Out Foundation and Breast Cancer Research. Days and weeks after the thrilling five-set win over Erskine, the donations in person and online kept coming in. After all was said and done, the Lady Falcons will be submitting a donation of $908.80 to the “Dig Pink” campaign on behalf of Pfeiffer University volleyball.

The initial goal to be raised was set at $500. After weeks of preparation, the sales of pink t-shirts with a new silent and online auction in 2010, the Lady Falcons were able to almost double their goal in that short time. Look for the 2011 “Dig Pink” match next year in October.
