Men's Tennis Uses Doubles Momentum to Score 6-3 Win over Brevard

Luis Villalta Serves Against Brevard with Sid Kaushik Standing By
MISENHEIMER, N.C. Ė Sid Kaushik and Luis Villalta notched a crucial doubles point that gave Pfeiffer University momentum heading into singles action as the Falcons tallied a 6-3 win over Brevard in non-conference menís tennis action on Friday afternoon. Pfeiffer moves to 2-0 on the year while the Tornados suffer their first loss dipping to 1-1.
Along with Kaushik and Villalta, Philip Lawson and Johan de Wit recorded the other doubles point with an 8-6 win in the first position. Both de Wit and Villalta also scored singles wins in straight-sets as de Wit went three and three while Villalta rolled with 6-0, 6-0 wins. Ben Hunter scored the other singles victory with a 3-6, 6-0, 7-6 (1) tiebreak win.
Pfeiffer gets back to action quickly on Saturday afternoon heading to Newberry for a 1:00 p.m. start with the Wolves.
