Lady Falcon Golf Finishes 2nd Out of 12 Teams at Dana Rader Intercollegiate

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Belmont Abbey College improved 15 strokes off of Monday’s first round 325 to claim the 2011 Dana Rader Intercollegiate team title over second place Pfeiffer University on Tuesday afternoon. The Crusader put up a 310 final round that par 71, 5,830-yard layout of Ballantyne Resort and Golf Club led by Michele Low taking individual medalist honors with a 76 Tuesday for a 155 tournament total. University of Findlay rounded out the team top-three finishing four shots back of Pfeiffer.
Low improved three strokes on Tuesday from her first round 79 to lead the Crusaders. Teammate Melissa Siviter came in Tuesday six shots better than Monday with a final round 75 to finish second overall. Pfeiffer was led by Angela Gimenez concluded third with a 159 two-day total (78/81) while Camilla Mallberg of Queens, Brenna Martens of Lenoir-Rhyne, Marina Erice of Concord University and Rita Kim of Belmont Abbey each concluded T-4 totaling 160 for the two-day event.
Low, Siviter, Mallberg, Martens, Erice and Kim were all named to the Dana Rader Intercollegiate all-tournament team.
