Men's Volleyball Rallies from Down 0-2; Fall Late in Set #5 at Juniata

HUNTINGDON, P.A. Ė Pfeiffer University rallied to force a fifth-set on Saturday night but host Juniata pulled out 15-10 win in the final stanza for a 3-2 (25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 23-25, 15-10) victory over the Falcons in non-conference menís volleyball action. Juniata improves to 15-10 overall while the Falcons drop to 8-9.
Drew Burdette led all with a match-high 21 kills hitting .455. Eric Edelman had a dozen kills while Micah Bortner finished with 10. Even Fullerton put up a match-high 39 assists while Mark Hess led all with 13 digs. Fullerton had two solo blocks to lead the Falcons on defense with 8.5 total team blocks. Juniata, using 18 total team blocks on the night, pulled away with four-straight points in a 5-5 game during the fifth set.
Pfeiffer gets back to action Sunday afternoon with a 4:30 p.m. matchup at St. Francis to wrap up the Pennsylvania weekend road trip.
