Buckley Takes Week 7 Player of the Week Honors after Six Goals Saturday

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Pfeiffer University’s Tom Buckley has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse Player of the Week during week number seven in the 2011 season. The Edmonton, Alberta native converted a career-high six goals in an 18-9 victory over Rollins on Sunday afternoon. Due to midweek rain, the contest against the Tars was the only one for the week.
The freshman midfielder started his day by scoring two of the first three Falcon goals taking seven shots with all of them being on goal. Buckley also added a caused turnover in his career day. Buckley had just one goal on the season before his banner day on Sunday. Buckley and the Falcons are back in action on Saturday hosting No. 1 nationally ranked Limestone at 2:30 p.m. Pfeiffer currently stands at 9-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference.
