Demers and Peareth Take Home Co-Medalist Honors as Women's Golf Wins 2011 Pfeiffer Intercollegiate

BADIN, N.C. – Pfeiffer University’s Chelsea Demers and Steph Peareth took home co-medalist honors firing a two-day total 148 to help lead the Lady Falcons to the 2011 Pfeiffer Intercollegiate women’s golf title on Tuesday at the Badin Inn Resort and Golf Club. Pfeiffer put up a team total of 626 on the 5,832-yard, par 71 layout besting Limestone and Brevard by 49 and 69 shots.
Peareth took a one-shot lead into Tuesday’s final round over Demers, before the senior responded with a one-better stroke day than her teammate with a 74. Lauren Lyle, finishing fifth overall, carded a tournament best nine fewer strokes in round two posting a 73.
Brevard’s Alisiya Klochkova finished the tournament in third overall with a two-day total of 150 while Lander’s Dea Mahendra put up a second-round 76 to conclude at 154 in fourth. Meredith Beavin rounded out team-scoring for the victors with a 175.
