Two Goal Lead Evaporates as Men's Soccer Settles for 2-2 Draw at King

BRISTOL, T.N. - Trailing 2-0 at the half, King College put home the game-tying goal with 2:03 left in regulation to push the contest into overtime and eventually earn a 2-2 tie in overtime with Pfeiffer University in Conference Carolinas men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons move to 2-10-1 overall, 1-6-1 in league play while the Tornado advance to 3-7-2, 2-4-1.
Pfeiffer jumped on the board with two first half goals starting with Kyle Toler's first of the year on an assist from Dale Ashford. Right at the buzzer of the first, Ben Lloyd put the Falcons up a pair after Fahret Salihovic sent over the pass just outside the 18-yard box.
King registered a penalty kick goal to get within one in the 55th minute after a Falcon foul inside the box, before Zach Caracciolo's unassisted game-tying goal in the 88th minute.
King took six shots in overtime while the Falcons took three, neither converting on a game-winner. The Tornado held a commanding 20-8 advantage in shots for the match. Zach Liles made seven saves in net for the Falcons while Patrick Milfeld made two for the Tornado.
Pfeiffer gets back to action on Wednesday traveling over to Catawba for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference matchup with the Indians.
