Women's Volleyball Season Comes to an End with 3-0 First Round Tournament Loss at Erskine

DUE WEST, S.C. - As the second seed out of the western division, Erskine College notched a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-22) sweep over Pfeiffer University in the first round of the 2011 Conference Carolinas women's volleyball tournament on Tuesday night. The Flying Fleet improve to 19-14 overall advancing to face the winner of Limestone/Queens on Friday night. The loss ends the Lady Falcons season at 10-15.
Erskine saw three players record double-digit kill night's led by Jamie Murray's 13. Sandra Campbell posted 11 while Lauren Stewart added 10. Larz Chabra dished out 36 assists while Stewart led all with 18 digs, one of three in double-figures for Erskine.
Pfeiffer was led by Kelsey Blauser's half-dozen kills hitting .316. Kim Amerell, Jordan O'Bryant and Kelly Lancellot each had five. Cate Glendenning finished her freshman campaign adding 15 more assists also popping up 10 digs. Colleen Wands, ending her four-year career on Tuesday, contributed with 10 digs.
