After Monster Double-Double Tuesday, Lemons Receives Conference Player of the Week Honors

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University’s Jodie Lemons has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's basketball Player of the Week during week number four of the 2011-2012 season. Lemons put up a huge double-double in an 82-51 win over Barber Scotia during the Lady Falcons' only game of the week on Tuesday.

Lemons posted career-high's with 22 points, 16 rebounds to go along with a 47% shooting percentage from the field. The native from Madison, NC reached double-figures in the rebounding department with 9:27 left in the first half, recording her first collegiate double-double with 6:29 to go before intermission. Lemons also added a pair of assists, steals and blocks as Pfeiffer set a new team record for blocks in a game with 10.

Lemons and the Lady Falcons are off this week and most of next with exams coming up for the 2011 fall semester. Pfeiffer will be back in action on Friday, December 16th and 19th in their final non-conference tune-ups before league play begins in January.
