Cox Named CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-American in District Three; Moves On to National Ballot

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer University women’s basketball standout Brittany Cox (Winston-Salem, NC) has been named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District team in district three. Only five players were selected for the division two team in which Cox was one of two coming from Conference Carolinas. Cox has the highest grade point average of those selected, now moving on to the national ballot for national Academic All-American consideration.

Cox made the team thanks to her 3.92 GPA majoring in Sports Management. The junior currently leads the Lady Falcons and the conference averaging 19.7 points per game. Cox also lists among the nation’s top-20 in scoring average and three-pointers per game.

Cox and the Lady Falcons get back to action on Saturday afternoon traveling to Converse for another league tilt beginning at 3:00 p.m.
