Peareth and Demers Finished Tied for Fifth as Lady Falcons Conclude in Same Spot at Moss Creek Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Pfeiffer University women's golf team improved eight shots from round one to round two securing a fifth place finish at the 2012 Moss Creek Invitiational hosted by Newberry down in Myrtle Beach. Steph Peareth and Chelsea Demers each finished tied for fifth individually as the Lady Falcons finished first amongst the four Conference Carolinas schools.

After a soggy first round of play on Sunday with rain up and down the east coast, Peareth bounced back to shoot 80 on Monday after her initial round of 82. Demers flipped rounds over the weekend shooting 79 on Sunday, one of just five rounds in the 70's, before carding an 83 on Monday. Rounding out team scores saw Lauren Lyle, Danielle Haizlip and Amanda Wemple each improve a minimum of two strokes from round one to two.

The Lady Falcons will be back on the links March 12-13th hosting the annual Dana Rader Invitational at the Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte.
