Village Church to Host Youth Basketball Night on Friday vs. Coker as All Youth Groups Admitted Free; Spread the Word to End the Word Campaign Will Take Place as Well

MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University will host Youth Basketball Night during the 2011-2012 regular season finales against Coker on Friday night.  All youth groups will be admitted to both basketball games free of charge. The winner of Friday night's men's game will be the fourth and final seed from the east division to enter the Conference Carolinas tournament. The loser will have its season end on Friday night.

The night (which will also be a blackout night) is open to all youth groups from area schools and YMCA's to name a few. Friday will also feature Pfeiffer's annual "Spread the Word to End the Word" campaign to not use the "R" word in any context (Retardation). Fans and students will be able to sign the pledge and receive a free t-shirt while supplies last. All fans are highly encouraged to wear black on Friday in support of the Falcons.

Friday's festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. as the Lady Falcons take on Coker while the all-important men's game following at 7:30 p.m. with a drum line halftime show.
