Men's Volleyball Pushes School-Record Win Streak to Eight with 3-1 Win at NJIT

NEWARK, N.J. - Pfeiffer University, after traveling 11 hours Saturday morning, put down 13 total team blocks to push their school-record win-streak to eight matches with a 3-1 (18-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-23) victory at NJIT in NCAA I men's volleyball action on Saturday night. The win pushes the Falcons to 8-1 overall while the Highlanders fall to 6-8.
Pfeiffer hit. 254 in the four-setter led by Quentin Moore's 18 kills and Eric Edelman's 14 hitting .370. David Specian helped out by assisting 50 times while libero Mark Hess popped up 19 digs. In the blocking department, Lance Johnson had a team-high nine block assists while Eric Edelman had seven.
Aurel Griesshammer led NJIT with 13 kills on the night hitting .370 despite the Highlanders hitting just .119 as a team. Pfeiffer held the hosts to a negative hitting percentage in set two and a .027 mark in set three.
The Falcons get back to action quickly on Sunday morning playing a pair of matches at the Baruch Invitiational in New York City. Pfeiffer takes on Rivier starting at 10:00 a.m. while facing Kean at 12:00 p.m.
