Record Win Streak Comes to an End as Men's Volleyball Falls Twice in Final Day of Lindenwood Invitational

ST. CHARLES, M.O. - Pfeiffer University saw its 11-match winning streak come to an end on Saturday in the final day of the 2012 Lindenwood Invitational. The Falcons fell 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-16) to reigning NAIA national champions Cal Baptist before falling 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-16) to host Lindenwood transitioning to NCAA II from NAIA. Pfeiffer stands at 11-3 after the weekend contests.
Cal Baptist hit .360 in their three-set win led by Kristopher Johnson's 13 kills and Aaron McCalmont's 10. David Frazee led the Falcons with nine to hit .615, but the Falcons just got over the .200 hitting percentage mark as a team in the loss.
Against the hosts, Pfeiffer just barely hit in positive numbers while Lindenwood hit at a .500 clip led by Austin Tudor's 13 kills and JM Plummer's 10. Lindenwood committed just six attack errors in the match. Eric Edelman and Quentin Moore each had seven kills for the Falcons.
Pfeiffer returns home on Tuesday and Thursday this week hosting St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday before entertaining Sacred Heart at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both matches will feature live stats and video courtesy of http://www.gofalconsports.com.
