Women's Lacrosse Does the Walloping on Wednesday with 21-6 Win at St. Leo

ST. LEO, F.L. - Pfeiffer University would use 14 first half goals to bolt out to a 21-6 victory at St. Leo on Wednesday afternoon. The win moves the 15th-ranked Lady Falcons to 4-3 on the year while the Lions drop to 1-6.
The scoring started within the first two minutes of play as Shannon Bonnel and Stephanie Marran each traded goals for both sides. Bonnel would then hit again to start a stretch of nine-straight goals for the Lady Falcons with three-straight coming from Liz Melesh. Natalie Marvin would also hit three times as Pfeiffer held a 10-1 lead midway through the first half.
After back-to-back goals from St. Leo, Rachel Hebberd would score her first of the day followed by back-to-back goals from Kristina Anderson. Bonnel would tally again with two seconds left in the half as Pfeiffer carried a 14-3 lead into the half.
Marvin would strike two more times in the running clock second half for five on the day while Nadia Salemeh notched her second late in the half. Ashley West would notch her first career goal with 2:56 to play. Melesh would add four goals on the day while Bonnel and Anderson each registered three.
Pfeiffer quickly returns to action on Thursday afternoon taking on #9 Stonehill in a neutral site contest at Rollins to wrap up the spring break trip.
