Louth Leads Men's Golf to Fifth Place Finish at Pinehurst Challenge

PINEHURST, N.C. - The Pfeiffer University men's golf team improved 14 shots in the final round to claim fifth place out of a dozen teams in Wingate's Pinehurst Challenge on Monday-Tuesday.
Tyson Louth led the way for the Falcons taking six less shots from Monday on Tuesday with a 73. Michael Blair improve two shots to card a 76 in the final round while Cameron Fields improved a team-best 10 shots recording an even-par 72 after a first round 82. Troy Bulmer posted a pair of rounds in the 70's with a 77/79 while Luiz Jacintho wrapped up scoring with an 80/82.
Lenoir-Rhyne won the team event with a 599 shooting one shot better than Lincoln Memorial at 600. Pfeiffer returns to the links on April 9-10 with one final tuneup before the conference's annual tournament traveling to Brevard for the Aramark Collegiate Invitational.
