Demers Leads Lady Falcons to 8th Place Finish; Top Conference School at Agnes McAmis Memorial

GREENEVILLE, T.N. - Pfeiffer University wrapped up the 2012 Agnes McAmis Memorial in eighth place out of 18 competing teams. Chelsea Demers again led the way for the Lady Falcons tying for 13th out of 92 individually.

Demers fired a first round 77 and improved two shots in Tuesday's final round with a three-over 75. Freshman Danielle Haizlip finished second on the team with a 78-81 while Lauren Lyle improved three shots on Tuesday with a 79. Amanda Wemple 82-89 rounded out team scoring while Steph Peareth posted a first round 79 before being disqualified on Tuesday.

For the second-straight tournament, the Lady Falcons were the top Conference Carolinas school out of five topping Erskine by eight shots. Host Tusculum won the event while the Pioneers' Jillian Corum with a 70-71 for a two day total of 141.

Pfeiffer will now have a couple weeks of practice before entering the Conference Carolinas tournament over in Pinehurst.
