Marshall Joins Women's Lacrosse Staff as Assistant for 2013 Season

MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University head women's lacrosse coach Dawn Easley announced the hiring of Chelsea Marshall as the new assistant coach on Thursday afternoon. Marshall comes to Pfeiffer after a stellar playing career at West Chester University and impressive early coaching background.

Marshall enters after helping Messiah College to a 16-4 record last season and the highest IWLCA ranking in school history at #7. Messiah reached the second round of the NCAA tournament a year ago before falling to Colby College.

Before Messiah, Marshall was the women's lacrosse director at Lacrosse Evolution. Marshall was responsible for training and staffing coaches for year round lacrosse training programs as well as marketing and advertising for the women's programs.

Other previous experience includes being a selector for the Under Armour All-American Team in 2010 along with being an assistant coach at Episcopal Academy, Hilton Head High School and her alma mater, West Chester. Marshall graduated from West Chester in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology.
