Homrich and Jones Put Up Monster Days as Women's Volleyball Scores Pair of 3-1 Victories

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Pfeiffer University picked up a pair of victories on Saturday afternoon in the final day of the 2012 Mount Olive Volleyball Classic. The Lady Falcons scored 3-1 victories over Fayetteville State (28-26, 9-25, 25-14, 25-19) and host Mount Olive (23-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-21) in non-conference action. Pfeiffer stands at 7-15 overall after wrapping up weekend play.

Briana Jones led the way in match one posting 14 kills on the Broncos hitting .370. Jessica Homrich followed right 10 kills hitting .471 in the four-setter. Both Jones and Homrich were named to the all-tournament team.

Against Mount Olive, the Lady Falcons hit .309 as a team led by Jordan O'Bryant's 13 kills and .522 attack percentage. Homrich would continue her stellar afternoon connecting for 11 kills hitting a career-high .625. Kelly Lancellot jumped in the second match with nine kills hitting .529.

The Lady Falcons will get back to Conference Carolinas play on Tuesday night traveling to Myers Park High School to take on Queens at 7:00 p.m.
