In the middle stanza, Barton jumped out to a 4-1 lead after a kill from Chandler Thomas (Virginia Beach, VA) before the Falcons rallied back to grab a 13-9 lead thanks to a Mark Hess (Lebanon, PA) kill and another put down from Brophy. Pfeiffer then ran out on a 6-0 run with a pair of Brophy aces leading the way before Supko again had kills late in the set while Edelman delivered the final blow for a 25-14 set win and two-game lead for the Falcons.

Set three started with a 10-5 advantage for the Falcons after a Fabio Diniz (Belo Horizonte, BRAZIL) ace that forced a Bulldogs timeout.
