Cox Named to CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District Team for Second-Straight Year; On to National Ballot

MISENHEIMER, N.C. - For the second-straight year, Pfeiffer University's Brittany Cox has been named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District women's basketball team for district three. Cox is once again the only Conference Carolinas representative on the prestigious list.

Cox is averaging a team-high 17.5 points which is third-best in Conference Carolinas knocking down 50 three-pointers which is a league high. The senior's shooting percentage stands at 43% from the field and 41% from behind the arc. Off the court, Cox boasts a 3.96 GPA as a senior majoring in Sports Management.

For the second-straight year, Cox will now move onto the national ballot to try and become a two-time CoSIDA Capital One National Academic All-American. Votes will be compiled in the next week with results being posted in mid-February.
