Wernecke Nails Down Men's Tennis' Player of the Week Award for the Second-Straight Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – For the second-straight week, Pfeiffer University's Sebastian Wernecke has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Men’s Tennis Player of the Week during week four of the 2012–2013 Tennis season. Wernecke had a perfect week of six wins helping the Falcons to a 3-0 week of play including a pair of league-opening victories.
Starting the week at Belmont Abbey, Wernecke, with teammate Ethan Lyon, scored an 8-6 win in doubles before dropping just one set with a 6-1, 6-0 win in singles. At Brevard, Wernecke and Lyon cruised in doubles 8-1 before Wernecke cranked out a 6-4, 7-5 win in singles. Wrapping up the week at North Greenville, Wernecke scored his third-straight win in both events going 8-2 in doubles and 6-2, 6-2 in singles.
Only action in the coming week for Wernecke and the Falcons will be hosting Coker in Conference Carolinas action on Sunday afternoon.
