Garrison Snags Player of the Week Honors after Five-Goal Week, Four Against #2 Le Moyne

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Pfeiffer University’s Carly Garrison has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week during week four of the 2012–2013 Lacrosse season. Garrison (Orlando, FL) came up with four huge goals during a five-goal week as the 14th-ranked Lady Falcons knocked off #2 Le Moyne a part of a 2-0 week in women's lacrosse action.
On Wednesday, Garrison would score the first go-ahead goal early in the first half against the second-ranked Dolphins before striking on an equalizer minutes into the second half. Garrison's goal with 16:16 remaining in the second gave the Lady Falcons a lead for good as her tally started a four-goal string by the hosts while the senior capped off her day with the final nail at 6:56. On Saturday at Erskine, Garrison hit for another goal with three assists as Pfeiffer bounced the Flying Fleet 20-1. For the week, Garrison scored her five goals with three assists for an eight-point week while picking up five groundballs and causing two turnovers.
Garrison and the Lady Falcons, now ranked #7 in the nation, continue their best start in school-history at 7-0 heading into a week of hosting Shepherd on Wednesday before heading to Maryland for neutral site tilts against New Haven and Wilmington (DE) over the weekend.
