Women's Volleyball Downed by North Greenville

TIGERVILLE, S.C. - The Pfeiffer women's volleyball team (7-16, 4-7 CC) dropped its match at North Greenville (5-19, 3-10) in straight sets. All three sets were tight, but the host Crusaders came away with the victory by scores of 26-24, 25-21 and 25-23.
The Lady Falcons finished the match with 31 team kills and a .152 hitting percentage, but couldn't overcome 15 hitting errors and 10 service errors. Brianna Jones led the way offensively with nine kills and Kelly Lancellot posted seven kills and a team-high .333 hitting percentage. Freshman Haley Denny had a game-high 17 digs and Jones added 10 more. Lancellot led the team with three total blocks and Nicole Mueller added three service aces. Setters Emily Wall and Lauren Carman totaled 22 assists for the evening.
North Greenville had 10 blocks as a team and hit .258. The Lady Falcons held a huge advantage in aces, 10-2 but also had five ball handling errors.
Each team posted 38 digs in the contest.
The Falcons have little time to dwell on the loss, as they are back in action tomorrow at noon when they travel to Erskine.
