Regis Named Third Team All-Conference

High Point, NC - Conference Carolinas announces the All-Conference teams during this week's Conference Carolinas Men's & Women's Soccer Championship Tournament. Freshman Nathan Regis was the team's lone representative, earning Third Team All-Conference honors.

Regis finished the season with 10 goals, the third highest total in Conference Carolinas. His 22 points ranked him sixth in the league and his two game-winners rank second. All these impressive numbers came despite the freshman missing three matches due to injury.

Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year
Andrew Settlemire, Erskine
Junior Andrew Settlemire led both his team and conference in scoring with 13 goals, the most by an Erskine men’s soccer player since 2000.  He scored in nine of the sixteen games he played and twice scored two goals in a game.  His 31 career goals rank him 12th all-time in Erskine men’s soccer history.
Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year
Roberto De La Vina, Erskine
Roberto De La Vina led the conference in both total saves (91) and save percentage (.843) and was third in goals against average (1.07).  He ranks in the Top 20 nationally in all three of those statistical categories as well.  His shutout of Lander University, the nation’s top scoring team at the time, spurred a run that saw the Fleet win 10 of their next 12 games.  His 395 total career saves are the most by an Erskine goalkeeper since joining the NCAA Division II ranks in 1995 and ranks him 5th all-time in Erskine men’s soccer history.
Men's Soccer Freshman of the Year
Jordan Wright, Lees-McRae
Jordan Wright put together a sensational freshman season with the Bobcats, leading the team with six goals in conference play, including both strikes in a 2-0 win over King on October 12. The 6-3, 200-pound forward concluded the regular season tied for third in the conference in goals (10) and fourth in points (23).

Men's Soccer Coach of the Year
Warren Turner, Erskine
Head Coach Warren Turner led Erskine to their first-ever conference regular season title and their third 10+ win season in four years.  Not since Erskine was part of the NAIA back in 1986-89 has the Flying Fleet won more games in a four-year time period.  It is the second time Coach Turner has been voted Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year (2010 & 2013).
