Cold Shooting Sinks Women's Basketball

GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Pfeiffer women's basketball team (2-15, 1-8 CC) suffered its worst shooting night of the season in a 73-43 loss at conference-leading Limeston (13-4, 8-1). The Falcons shot just 22.4 percent from the field in the game and dropped their sixth straight game. Precilla Hill led all scorers with 20 points in 21 minutes for the Saints and did most of her damage from the free throw line, going 12-for-13.

Pfeiffer was led by 11 points from Carter Williams and Ariana Tillman led the way with eight rebounds.

Alicia Brookins came one rebound shy of a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing nine boards for Limestone. Celestra Warren added 10 points off the bench.

Pfeiffer shot a frigid 13.3 percent on 4-of-30 shooting in the first half. Limestone took advantage of the Falcons' struggles, running out to a 22-4 lead. Hill had 14 of her 20 in the first half as Limestone took a 36-14 lead into the break. Lauren Janka had two of Pfeiffer's four first half field goals.

The Falcons were unable to get back into the game in the second half as 10 different Limestone players scored.

The Saints had a huge advantage from the free throw line, outscoring Pfeiffer 24-6 from the charity stripe. Limestone also dominated on the boards with a 61-39 advantage.

Pfeiffer will look to stop their losing skid on Wednesday evening when they travel to Converse for a 5:30 p.m. matchup.
