Baseball Hosts Cancer Awareness Game Friday at 3:30

MISENHEIMER, NC – Pfeiffer baseball will be hosting a cancer awareness game against Barton at 3:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon at Joe Ferebee Field. The team will wear specially made pink hats and invite any cancer survivor on the field to be recognized during the seventh inning stretch. The event will cap off Pfeiffer’s week-long Relay for Life Initiative.

In addition, the Pfeiffer players will each individually make signs of loved ones who have been affected by cancer and will hold those signs up during the seventh inning. The “Stand Up to Cancer” event is meant to raise awareness and all proceeds from the game will be donated to worthwhile charities. Any donation can be made at the concession stand during the contest.
