Pfeiffer Golf Does Volunteer Work Prior to ACC Men's Golf Championship

STORY COURTESY OF OLD NORTH STATE CLUB

On April 23rd, members of the Pfeiffer University Golf Team volunteered to conduct the Adopt-a-Highway Clean-up along Uwharrie Point Parkway from the Badin Family Restaurant to the Main Entrance of Uwharrie Point.  Eight student athletes, along with Coach Elliot Gealy, participated in the clean-up project.  The timing was perfect as the clean-up was conducted prior to the ACC Men’s Golf Championship weekend. Thank you Pfeiffer Golf!

The Pfeiffer Golf Team also volunteers at The Old North State Club by cleaning up balls from the driving range.

The partnership between Uwharrie Point, The Old North State Club, and Pfeiffer University has flourished for many years, from hosting golf events to residents attending athletic events, concerts, special speaker presentations on campus, etc.  Pfeiffer University is a great resource for residents to watch competitive sporting events, and attend musical and cultural presentations within a few minutes’ drive. More information about campus events can be found at http://www.pfeiffer.edu and www.gofalconsports.com
