Women's Lacrosse Earns Second Straight NCAA Tournament Bid; Travel to Lock Haven at Noon on Saturday

MISENHEIMER, NC – The Pfeiffer women’s lacrosse team earned the No. 3 seed in the South Region and head to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year and the second time in school history. On Saturday, May 10 at noon the Falcons will travel to Lock Haven, PA and take on the No. 2 seed Lock Haven Lady Eagles.

The Falcons are in search of their first NCAA Tournament win in school history next weekend. Last year, in their first NCAA appearance, the Falcons fell at Limestone in the opening round by a final score of 13-3.

The matchup is even on paper as the Falcons are ranked eighth in the nation and the Lady Eagles are seventh. Pfeiffer finished the regular season with a 13-4 record, while Lock Haven finished the campaign with a 17-2 record and defeated No. 9 Mercyhurst 9-7 to capture the PSAC Championship.
