Falcons Fall to Charlotte, 5-2

Charlotte, NC---The Pfeiffer Men's Tennis team took their momentum from Saturday's victory and pushed the 49ers of UNC Charlotte Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons jumped out and won 2 of the 3 doubles matches and had the 49ers on their heels. The team of A.J. Flores and Johan de Wit stunned the 49ers at #1 with a 8-1 victory; as did the team of Ryan Kerr and Philip Lawson, who posted a 8-1 victory at #2. This gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead heading into singles.

the 49ners took care of business in singles by winning 5 of the 6 to take the match.

The Falcons one single victory came at the #3 spot where Philip Lawson kept his winning streak going with a 3rd set tie break win. Philip is now 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles.

The Falcons continue non-conference play with two home matches against Augusta State and JC Smith on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Both matches start at 2:00 pm.
