| The Pfeiffer women's tennis team lost two matches in Georgia this weekend. On Friday Pfeiffer lost 7-2 to USC-Aiken and on Saturday the Falcons lost 8-1 to Augusta State. Against USC-Aiken Pfieffer was able to win at #1 Doubles when Andrea Stroup and Patty Dominguez won 8-3. #3 Doubles lost a close 8-6 match so the Falcons trailed 2-1 going into singles. Dominguez was able to continue her fine play with a 6-2,6-0 victory at #2 singles. Stroup played a tough close match but fell just short. Pfeiffer lost the other four singles matches in straight sets. Saturday against #28 Augusta State the Falcons battled hard but lost 8-1. Stroup and Dominguez continued their fine play winning 8-2 at #1 Doubles. Andrea Stroup lost in three sets at #1 singles in a real hard fought struggle. Pfeiffer continues their Spring Break trip with matches against Wisconsin-Green Bay and Tampa on Monday and Tuesday. |
