PFEIFFER LOSES TO TROJANS
Mount Olive, NC - The Pfeiffer Falcons fell to the Trojans of Mount Olive College in Conference Carolinas tennis action on Sunday afternoon. The Falcon men lost 3-6 and the women fell 1-8. The Pfeiffer men and women are now 7-8 on the season overall.
Philip Lawson (Johannesburg, South Africa) and Johan deWit (Windhoek, Namibia) started the day with an 8-2 win in the first doubles match. Lawson followed with another win in the first singles match 7-5, 6-0. DeWit chipped in the men’s third and final win of the day 6-2, 7-5 in the third singles match.
Patty Dominguez (Caracas, Venezuela) was the only Falcon to earn a win for the women. Dominguez took the first singles match 6-0, 7-5.
