PROSPERITY, S.C. – The Pfeiffer University men’s golf team had a pair of teams competing in the one-day, two-round Honda of Columbia Fall Classic at the par-72, 6,633-yard Mid Carolina Club on Saturday. Host Newberry won the event with a team score of 551. The Falcons “A” team finished 12th overall out of 16 teams with a 591 while the “B” team came in 14th with a 607.
For Pfeiffer’s first team, Laurence Noott led all Falcons with rounds of 75 and a three-under 69 to finish in a tie for 22nd at 144. The rest of the “A” team scores were Andrew Fecteau with a T-38 finish (75/72) at 147, Tyson Louth (75/74) coming in with a 149 and T-55 while Parker Robertson (77/74) rounded out the four scores at 151.
The Falcons “B” team was headed up by Thomas Sennett and his tours of 76 and 72. Sennett finished tied for 45th at 148. Garrett Dranichak (74/76) finished in a tie for 57th at 150, Adam Davey carded 78 and 76 for a T-67 finish at 154 while Ben Tobey (78/77) and Chad Nicholson (79/85) came in with a 155 and 164 respectively.
UNC-Pembroke’s Jordan Walor took home top medalist honors firing back-to-back rounds of four-under 68 for a 136 total. The top 21 individuals to finish all came in with two-round totals in red numbers while the first five teams also posted scores under-par.
