MISENHEIMER, N.C. – In conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, the Pfeiffer University women’s volleyball will team up with the Side-Out Foundation to promote awareness and raise funds to eradicate Breast Cancer. This October, thousands of teams from around the country will be participating in the DiG PiNK National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally. The event at Pfeiffer will take place on Tuesday, October 27th as the Lady Falcons take on the Lees-McRae Bobcats at 7:00 p.m.
DiG PiNK t-shirts will be sold at all remaining women’s volleyball home matches this season for $10. The Lady Falcons hope to raise $750 online before October 27th. You can also make a monetary donation online at http://tinyurl.com/pudigpink. Fans attending matches are highly encouraged to wear pink all month long!
Wear your pink all month long and help the Lady Falcons volleyball team pick up a kill against Breast Cancer. All proceeds from donations and t-shirt sales will benefit the Side-Out Foundation, a national 501(c)(3) located in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. For more information about the event or to purchase a pink t-shirt if you are unable to attend a home match, please contact assistant coach Amanda Huffaker at 704-640-9313 or by e-mail at Amanda.Huffaker@fsmail.pfeiffer.edu.
