MISENHEIMER, N.C. Ė Pfeiffer University head coach of womenís volleyball Ben Guiliano announced the signing of two student-athletes for the 2010 fall season. In August, the Lady Falcons will welcome in a talented duo of outside hitter Kim Amerall from Lynchburg, VA, and middle hitter Anna Vizvary hailing from North Augusta, SC.
Amerall, originally from Milwaukee, comes to Misenheimer via E.C. Glass High School where the senior has earned many accolades. Three years ago, Amerall took home honors as a second-team all-district member as well as the teamís most improved player award. In 2008 for the Hilltoppers, Amerall moved up to first-team all-district, again received the most improved honor and added the coachís award at seasonís end. This past fall, Amerall again scored first-team all-district honors to go along with a regional honorable mention and the Lynchburg News Advance Player of the Week and an all-area player of the year. Academically, Amerall is on the Honor Roll and Western Valley All-Academic Team. Amerallís community service resume includes helping out Big Brothers, Big Sisters, varsity athletes reading program for Elementary students, the Ambassadors Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Holy Cross Youth Group.
Vizvary enters the Lady Falcons volleyball program from North Augusta High School in North Augusta, SC. The 5-11 middle hitter just recently picked up a 4A all-region player award after leading the Yellow Jackets, as the floor captain, with 201 kills and 68 blocks. A four-year member of the varsity volleyball program, Vizvary snagged the most improved away in 2007 before being tabbed a 2008 4A all-region player and an all-tournament player in the Augusta Prep Classic. Vizvary also finds herself on the honor roll academically and is a Locks of Love Donor and Christmas Adopt-a-Child Sponsor.
