GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Limestone College women’s tennis team dropped a Conference Carolinas match to Pfeiffer University 6-3 on Wednesday afternoon at the Emmie Evans Rector Tennis Center. The Falcons climb to 10-5 overall and 4-3 in the league as the Saints stand at 1-12 overall and 0-5 in the league.
Limestone’s Eve Aubry (Boucherville, Quebec, Canada) and doubles partner Jimena Munoz Quiroga (La Candelaria, Mexico) picked up the 8-4 win at the top doubles flight. Munoz Quiroga and Lauren Bolender (North Canton, Ohio) recorded the team’s two singles wins. Munoz Quiroga defeated Alena Krutkina 6-4, 6-1 at the No. 1 match while Bolender won 6-0, 6-4 at No. 3.
Patty Dominguez and Maddy Billeter won 8-4 at the No. 2 doubles match, as Catie Thomas and Chelsi Haefele won 8-0 at the No. 3 match.
Dominguez went on to get a 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 2 singles flight. Thomas won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, while Jonnell Carpenter won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5. Haefele also won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.
